Std. Child Care First Aid, B-CPR/AED -NE

Service Description

This course covers many of the same components as Standard First Aid & CPR, with focus on babies and children. Additional skills covered include: specific conditions that affect babies and children; recognizing illness; and preventing infection. Standard Child Care First Aid includes discussion of vital signs and administering medications as well as information about child abuse and neglect. Alberta Family and Social Services recognize this course for day care employees and day home providers. Parents or anyone who is in contact with children will find this course beneficial. This course requires 8 hours of individual course work and 8 hours of class time.
